An angelic rodent scurries inside a rubbish bin. A desperate desire to construct a heavenly place of residence. A tiny house for a tiny mouse. The mouse does not want to live in hell, the mouse is resourceful and cunning. The mouse is building heaven from the hand it was dealt and bathing in lukewarm bin juice.

My practice examines world building and the construction of fantasy realms that operate as spaces to empower the viewer. Over the past year my research has centered on three areas; Camp, magic and narrative. I have been exploring the essence of camp through the embellishment and intensification of everyday materiality and mainstream objects. I design specific feelings and evoke certain states of being which speak to the spiritual element of magic. My work perhaps does not fit into what would be widely acknowledged as meditative or spiritual however, I am working towards defining and materialising my own definition of these terms within magic in relation to my practice.

I aim to build environments that tenderly summon the viewer to experience pleasurable sensations of complex tranquility and enchantment. I want to embrace others in visually decadent landscapes and assemble spaces for brains to soak.
